. . . is a compassionate listener who believes that the healing journey is a partnership between the client and the practitioner. She brings a variety of skills and knowledge to the treatment room, and may suggest nutrition, exercise, and life-style changes to support a client’s health challenges. She has studied both Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles; the Japanese style includes a variety of gentle and non-insertive techniques. She is certified in Auriculotherapy (auricular acupuncture) by ACI. Zero Balancing is often incorporated into her acupuncture treatments, or a client can schedule an appointment for just Zero Balancing. Anne Marie is also a Reiki practitioner.
Acupuncture is a whole-body healing modality. It works to balance the physical (and emotional) body by stimulating specific points which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions. The World Health Organization (WHO) completed a review and analysis of controlled clinical trials of acupuncture therapy and has shown it to be an effective treatment for many diseases, symptoms and conditions. Zero Balancing is a touch therapy for body and mind, and can be both relaxing and energizing.
Both acupuncture and Zero Balancing promote wellness, alleviate stress and improve balance in body and mind. These modalities can relieve tension and pain, improve mobility, and enhance well-being.
Anne Marie is a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture (Chinese and Japanese styles) from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine.
Prior to her career in acupuncture, Anne Marie has worked in the field of software quality assurance and testing; more recently she was employed in the library of a public high school. In addition, she has been involved in local community affairs, has volunteered both at Emerson Hospital (in Concord, MA) and at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital (in Bedford, MA), and has a Bachelor’s of Arts with a double major in Mathematics and Philosophy from Boston College.
